1 whole head of cauliflower
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 cup of avocado oil
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1 pinch of crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste)
Salt & pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 400° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Slice cauliflower head lengthwise through the core into 1"-thick "steaks".
Place cauliflower steaks on the prepared baking sheet.
Whisk avocado oil, lemon juice, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper together in a bowl. Brush or spoon 1/2 of the mixture over the tops of the cauliflower steaks.
Roast cauliflower steaks in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Gently turn over each steak and brush with remaining olive oil mixture.
Continue roasting 15 to 20 minutes more, or until tender and golden.
